When we design according to Permaculture principles we in fact observe the garden for a full year – before beginning the design process.

This allow us to get to know the site thoroughly – observing the movement of sun, shade, wind, heat, water, wildlife, plants, weeds, and the behaviour of trees – through the four seasons.

All of that information helps us to come up with an effective design that works WITH the site to create a flourishing garden – rather than coming up against problems further down the line.
