We LOVE to forage! Whether that’s foraging in my own garden on “weeds” and other pioneer/volunteer plants – or foraging along a quiet dirt road, cul de sac, parking area – or along a river (any area that has been disturbed and then neglected by humans).

Weeds tend to reproduce prolifically and most people want them gone – until they understand that they are very often edible and useful.

And then there are wild fruits and berries too, most fruiting trees or hedges produce abundantly.

  1. Free food
  2. Eat the weeds
  3. Wild plants have a higher nutritional profile
  4. Eat a greater diversity of plant species
  5. The plants are Fresh when picked (not refrigerated for long periods of time) which means more nutrition for you when you eat them
  6. It’s FUN!
  7. Increase your knowledge of plants
  8. Spend time outdoors connecting with Nature
  9. Become more food sovereign

Our Foraging Walkshops are available on demand and take place at various locations in the Cape Town area. If you would like to book a Foraging Walkshop for yourself or for your own group – or find out if we have an upcoming Walkshop scheduled, then contact us below.
