Indigenous Landscaping

There are many reasons to choose and use indigenous plants over exotic plants to create your garden landscape, all of them valid – including practical considerations such as locally adapted, lower-maintenance, water-wise, self-sustaining, hardier….. but there are two BIG reasons for me why I love to work with indigenous plants.

The first reason is FEEL; indigenous plants have a certain RAW, wild, bold and untamed energy. The second reason has to do with the fact that indigenous plants naturally support our indigenous wildlife, forming part of local habitat and local eco-systems.
